'''熊本縣'''是[[日本]][[九州]]其中一個縣，古稱[[肥後國]]，位於九州中央，與島上其他六縣也接壤或隔內海灣柤望，面積7400[[平方公里]]，人口180多萬，縣廳位於[[熊本市]]。熊本縣是[[日本]]數一數二的農業縣，養殖業相當繁盛，也有世界最大級的[[破火山口]]的[[阿蘇山]]被世人廣知。<br><br>

熊本縣東北部有著名的阿蘇山，古時就有「火國」的說法。全境山地占3/4以上，東部九州山地最為廣闊，從山地流出[[白川]]，[[綠川]]及被稱為日本三大激流之一的[[球磨川]]，下游形成熊本和[[八代平原]]。海上的[[天草群島]]也屬於本縣。[[1966年]]修建的[[天草五橋]]，不但連接了九州本土和天草幾個大島，也為本縣增添了一個名勝。
